An example of our work

We have supported various organisations through providing interim IT management and advisory services for clients that required it due to planned and unplanned changes. We successfully assisted a not-for-profit organisation during a period of uncertainty when they had a sudden vacancy in their IT management role, leaving them with little time to assess the requirements and recruit the appropriate replacement.

They approached IT Lab seeking an immediate resource to support the running of IT whilst they recruited, as well as help them redefine their IT operating model to deliver improved services to users. We were able to provide an interim resource from our internal consulting team to manage the current responsibilities and maintain the daily IT operations. In parallel with this, we were able to assess the current operating model and redefine it as well as rationalise the technology and suppliers that they were using, making significant savings to the operating budget for IT.

Constraints out of their control prevented the organisation from making structural changes as quickly as they would like. Whilst they worked towards an internal resolution IT Lab continued to support daily IT operations as well as developing the change planning. By redefining the operating model prior to the recruitment process it allowed them to ensure they understood the appropriate context to recruit the replacement.
