Developing and implementing a digital & technical change programme can deliver significant value, but also has inherent operational risks which can be overwhelming for organisations.
IT Lab support organisations to determine how they can optimise the delivery of services to users through strategic technology and processes changes. This can include exploiting current technology through process changes and technology updates or developing and evaluating a new approach to the delivery of services.
Our proven methodology supports solution and supplier evaluation in the context of business and user needs and planning for the operational impact of process changes. Whether utilising a new sourcing approach or optimising existing partners and technology, IT Lab can provide agile end to end processes and management of change initiatives to ensure flexibility, responsiveness and efficiency.
An example of our work
IT Lab provides support for a range of digital and technology change initiatives which often optimise the delivery of IT services to internal and external stakeholder by reducing operational risks and increasing operation efficiency.
During periods of change, organisations often focus on the overall change programme and struggle with the detailed planning and change management. We successfully helped a communications organisation define and manage change during a period of substantial change as they redefined their business operating model in response to market pressures.
Originally engaged to create a light-touch strategy and resultant IT operating model, we then helped our client with the planning and change management of a range of initiatives associated with the operating model changes.
We helped them develop roadmaps to define and prioritise the various change initiatives, define the detailed tasks required to develop the implement the change plan. We defined the configuration requirements for a replacement IT Service Management system and created the migration plan including user acceptance testing, stakeholder communication and training requirements and planning.
