Partnerships, Announcements / March 15, 2018

IT Lab’s Long-Standing Relationship with McLaren on Track to Continue

Beyond the intensely competitive world of elite motorsport, McLaren’s technological expertise has been revolutionising the health, public transport and automotive sectors for decades.

McLaren is moving fearlessly forward. And this resolve isn’t confined to McLaren Racing, it applies equally to the other companies within the McLaren Technology Group.

To be the best, its 3,500-strong workforce demand the best. IT Lab has been delivering highly responsive and flexible IT support to McLaren for over eight years and became its official technology services provider in 2016.

Today we're thrilled to announce the renewal of our contract with McLaren Technology Group. Peter Sweetbaum, IT Lab’s CEO: “McLaren applies its years of experience in Formula 1 to all facets of its business and constantly pushes the boundaries of design and innovation.

“Our strong relationship grew from the roots of our shared values and we’ve become the team behind the team. Like McLaren, we simply never stand still. Our technologists, consultants and support personnel work incredibly hard to exceed the group’s expectations and respond to their evolving needs."

Matt Lockie, McLaren Technology Group’s IT Director added: “IT Lab is so much more than a provider; they are a collaborative and strategic partner. Their consistent delivery of IT support has enabled IT Lab staff to be seen as valued and trusted colleagues to McLaren employees.

"By supporting our global workloads and IT Service Desk provision, we're free to focus on our core activities. I’m extremely pleased to share this news.”
